I've always been fascinated with slavery stories and have seen and read many, but none addressed the dilemma of a slave whose skin color represented the children born by sexual assaults. In the Passer, the character Jesse tells about his life as a slave that looks white, but his story has a unique twist that makes it quite different from a normal slave story.
