Marquise asked Stella Riley:

Hi! I recently read and loved your Roundheads & Cavaliers series and your two other Civil War/Restoration novels. They're so well-researched! That raised one question I'd like to ask: would you consider or have you ever considered writing HF about Prince Rupert of the Rhine or with him as a character? It wouldn't have to be necessarily from his POV, could be through a fictional character like you've already done.

Stella Riley Hi Marquise
Thank you for your comments and also for taking the time to review my books. With regard to Rupert - as I imagine you know - he's in 'Defiance', 'Madonna' and 'Marigold' but hasn't so far fitted in more comprehensively into other books. This is largely due to his own post-war career. His piratical activities in the Caribbean don't excite me and, after that - up till the Restoration - he more or less settled down to enjoy and science and invention. Where he really shines is the war years - 1642-45. Right now, I'm completing Eden Maxwell's story which is 1653-55 and Rupert, I'm afraid, doesn't fit. Still, you never know what the future may bring!
