Norma Gail I knew I had ancestors from Scotlind since I was a child. I never had success in tracking them, but was fascinated with the land, people, and customs anyway. We traveled to Scotland for our 30th anniversary and I fell in love with it. After that trip, Land of My Dreams began to take shape and was eventually published. Only in the last year, I had success in tracing one family line back to Scotland. I guess you could say that the roots I knew were there influenced my writing, even though I had no hard facts.
