I had such fun researching "Out of the Easy." I got to spend a lot of time in Louisiana and was able to stay in the U.S. to research the book. Both "Between Shades of Gray" and "Salt to the Sea" required a ton of research overseas and since both stories take place during World War II, much of the research was very sad. :(

My mother & 13 year old nephew were born in Lithuania. We all read your "Between theShades of Gray" & Loved❤️ It! (It even was requiredreading in his school). I can't wait to get a copy of your " Salt to the Sea" so we can all share it with each other. Do you think a 14 year old boy would appreciate it as much as a girl would since, most of the characters in "Salt to the Sea" are young girls?

I love historical fiction and you have a wonderful way of enlightening readers about lesser known events during the WWII/Holocaust time period.
