I am having a debate with my friend Do you think the book or the movie are better?

Cassandra If you really want the full H.P. experience go with the books. You get more snarky Harry, lines about just how crazy intelligent Hermione is, Ron is way more important in the books than the movies, and just general information that you wish they had put into the movies.
Adam The book defiantly include much more detail that the movies don't and somethings are easier to understand with more description. However for somepepole (who struggle with imagery while reading) the film brings the story to life in a different way and if you are not a great fan you can watch the film in a couple of hours and not have to spend huge amounts of times reading. Nevertheless I still would erdge toward the books for me because I am able to picture my own scenes in my mind along with the extra detail. So don't get me wrong huge fan of films but for me I prefer the books and ebooks.
Rebel Tuffly The books are way better. Although the movies are good, the book just provide more.
Reia Books are better. Because there are more secrets hidden in books than in movies.
Merryn I vote for the book, but both versions are really good.
Santiago Arizti I bet you will not be able to find someone who has both read the book and seen the movie who thinks the movie is better.
IMO some casting choices/performances don't live up to what I expected from the characters, namely Dumbledore, Harry and Bellatrix. Also, I never liked the cutting of important characters, plot elements, etc. Like Firenze, Dobby, Winky, Percy, Prefects, Grawp...
This book is more fitting as a tv series to get the full content
Hope Books most definitly
Silviu Popescu you shouldn't expect someone to tell you the movie is better on this website.
only someone who doesn't like reading could tell you that and could also be the real truth for that person.
for me the books are far better, there are lots of interesting details not captured in the movie.
my 7 year old child likes the movies, but he also says the books are better (but maybe I have influenced him :) ).
Ferret Fox the book is better.
Kailie I love both, but the book is obviously the better of the two. The book has so much more detail and gives you more to the story. The movie is trying to fit the book into two hours, so they have to cut down on some of the events that take place. If they didn't the movie would end up ore like four or five hours. In short, the book is and always will be better than the movie. And that goes for the whole series.
Jon R. The books are really extended editions of the movies, in my opinion. Both are fabulous rides in their own ways from start to finish but the very core is the same. I appreciate them both and at times prefer some scenes from one to another.
el The book! The book has more detail and excitement, the movie leaves out important things.
Emma Trahan THE BOOKS ARE WAY BETTER IN MY OPINION! They honestly tell you like WAAAAY more!
Ayeza Shaur I honestly think that the books are better , because the movie miss some details. Like in goblet of fire, there is not Winky or Dobby , in the book Dobby gives Harry gillyweed and in the movie it was Neville. Other than that the books and movies are both amazing !
Sofia Alessandrini To say the movies are better is like totally betraying the whole wizarding world. Order of the Phoenix was a TERRIBLE movie compared to the book! And Goblet of Fire was missing so many things! Where was Winky?? UGGG!!
princess maggie Oh, the books by far. The movies miss so many important details that the books explain
