Can anyone tell me the age-appropriateness for this title? I had a student request it for a high school library, and while it is obviously a very powerful read, I am wondering if it may be too mature and/or beyond the scope of our target patronage.

High school students are at very high risk for issues of rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, and sexual harassment.

And as we know, in lower income communities the problem is even worse. What better way to help those students than to have a book like this on the shelf?(less)

Melissa I would have found this triggering at a young age and upsetting if I found it. What is helpful for one could be damaging for another.
