Can anyone tell me the age-appropriateness for this title? I had a student request it for a high school library, and while it is obviously a very powerful read, I am wondering if it may be too mature and/or beyond the scope of our target patronage.

It should be for the parents to decide appropriate reading material for their children, not the school. It’s been pushed to normalize sexuality at such a young age and reading about these situations won’t help children, yes children understand sex better. As a parent I would be upset if her school allowed her to check this book out. I talk to her about consent, sex, etc. (less)
