Pamela Kay Hawkins The question seems odd to me. Either you are a writer or you're not, and if you are, then the question becomes akin to asking what's the best thing about being me, which I won't answer. If you're asking about the fame, money, etc., I wouldn't know. But if you're asking about the best thing about being a published author? I think the moment your published book arrives and it's become something separate from you that others can enjoy. It's kind of like watching your children become adults and successful in the world.
