My girlfriend and I both enjoy your books immensely, so well done for that! She would like to know if you laugh as much as she does when you are writing your Lightbringer books. As you have no knowledge of the quantity of laughs that she was riddled with I greatly doubt you can give an accurate answer, but please try. She would like to know. Much love!
Brent Weeks
Oh, I didn't know we were going into the embarrassing questions! Yes, I do laugh at my own jokes. Then of course, I often scowl, change the word order to see if it makes it funnier, scowl again, and try three more times. I also occasionally cackle when I've pulled something particularly cruel and/or clever. This is why I can't write in coffee shops.

Yo Mr Weeks, I don't really know why I started it like that but I like it. Are you intending at some point in the far distant magical future to release a combined edition of the Lightbringer trilogy like you did with the Night Angel? What's your favorite food? Do you speak any foreign languages? Sorry I love to ask random questions.

I started your books around two months ago and finished them a few weeks later. Then read them again. And again. I keep realizing things about the book that slipped me by the first time (identities, events, etc). But down to the question itself. Was this intentional, to try to surprise the reader on their second time through?

I just started reading your Night Angel Trilogy (I know, I'm late to the party) and you mention how rare it is for someone to read it whole. Just wanted to let you know (bad) aspiring authors trying to get an insight on a writer's mind do read it :P. I think I'm supposed to make a question, so: Do professional writers such as yourself also check out the aknowledgements even if they're not friends with the author?
