Which set of people in Jack: The True Story of Jack and the Beanstalk are our size? The giants or the elves?

It could go either way, but in my head the elves are our size (Jack and co.) because their world is more like ours. Non-magical, no gnomes or pixies, etc., but it's fun to consider the opposite.

Hi Liesl--this question is from my mom, who just finished reading Rump to lead a school book-club. "How do you feel about the similarities between "Rump" and the television show, "Once"? Are you a fan of the show? My mom also says she loves your name--my sister is named Ava "Lise" after the character Liesl from "The Sound of Music."
