Have you ever had issues with second thoughts about your stories? As in, a development that you wrote, but then you realized it was too obvious or just "too easy"? If so, how do you cope with that?

Hey Rodrigo,
I have seconds thoughts with pretty much every book! lol
It usually hits around midway... The beginning goes smooth, then I get stuck in the middle and wonder... is this going to work? Usually I spend anywhere from days to even a weeks puzzling out what to do...and thankfully a solution comes that usually clicks and fits (and funny enough it is usually such a simple solution too).
One great example I like is Stephen King. He said once when writing The Stand he got to halfway and was going to give up because he had way too many characters to continue the book. It took him weeks of pondering until he decided to simply blow half of them up!
He said it solved all his problems just like that.

First - absolutely thrilled I discovered you, I love all your work. Second, I grew up with Siberian Russians, and we used to grill their parents who were alive during the time of the incident, debating theories. You took one of my favorite all time enduring mysteries and touched on multiple of the beliefs my Siberian friends had! Do you have any Russian friends, or are you just fond of their culture? Ever been?
