Khushi Nagpal
Khushi Nagpal asked Maria V. Snyder:

I hope I am not asking something really personal, but I also love writing and you prove to be a great idol to me. My question is that if you write a book and on this website "Goodreads" and SOME people don't exactly like it/prefer it and comment about its flaws in a rude/un-friendly way, do you feel bad? (I love your books/plot)

Maria V. Snyder Hello Khushi! Glad to hear you enjoyed my books. I feel everyone has the right to express their opinion about my books. Bad reviews are all part of this business and I will admit that I can read 100 good reviews, but I'll remember that one bad review. And yes, when it's nasty, it does upset me. Which is why I only read the good reviews :). I read the 4 and 5 star reviews and skip the rest (I do the same with Amazon) and I don't seek out reviews on the Internet. Many times bloggers will send me links to their reviews, but most of them only bother to do that when they liked the book. I also asked my publisher to only send me the good ones. There is no sense wasting my time and energy on a nasty review.
