Finally, I listened to the audiobook by Blackstone Audio and it was fantastic. The actor reads it in such a way that it feels natural. So, try that if you have to get through this book. The themes like censorship and critical thinking are well worth it! The writing reminded me of William Carlos Willams' poetry, like The Great Figure:

Among the rain
and lights
I saw the figure 5
in gold
on a red
firetruck
moving
tense
unheeded
to gong clangs
siren howls
and wheels rumbling
through the dark city.

Right? Can you see it?(less)
