Thank you, Kasi! With this particular character, I was inspired by our changing world. (Saying that makes me think of the phrase "our changing bodies" but that's another story.) I was fascinated by how we handle social media and I liked the idea of having this guy who is so textbook against it then using it to get to someone who is so deeply invested in it. That was interesting to me in a narrative cat and mouse kind of way.
And I wanted to write something where I felt like I was getting this naughty, complicated imaginary friend and ultimately, giving him to you, the readers, for better and for worse!
