Hi Lisa, I just wanted to say how much I love all of your books. Your books inspired me to visit Shanghai, which I finally did this past October. The modern Shanghai is so much different than what I had imagined from reading, but wonderful nonetheless. I visited the Shikumen museum with a preserved residence, which felt like it came out of the pages of Shanghai Girls. When are you expecting to publish the next book?

Thank you so much for your kind words about my books. I'm so glad you've enjoyed them. Also, I'm very glad you're already looking forward to the next one! I'm sorry I don't have an exact date to give you though. I'm hoping it will be out late 2016, but more likely it will be published in 2017.

I saw an interview with you on YouTube a few months ago. The interview was during the pandemic, maybe 2020-2022. You had mentioned that you were researching an ancestor of yours who were in the American west. Their story seemed interesting. I think it was a prospective book. Is this possible? If you ever write a book about them, I would love to read it. I have enjoyed reading every book of yours so far.
