Since joining a feedback/critique group, I've felt significantly more connected to the written arts and have learned a ton by surrounding myself with talented people. All the common advice you hear is good too, such as you need to read and write every day, but what they never tell you is that you don't have to do this all alone.

However, I'm a new friend and you want to impress me so which book should I read first to really get a feel for how good an author you really are? Which book do you recommend I read first which really shows how great you are?

Hi Justin, I have a feeling we belong to a different generational bracket. I'm interested in exploring what young, emerging writers write about, discuss and share with their readers and fellow writers.
