Kendare. I DEVOURED the Heromaker series. I am madly in love with Sar. I have gasped and cried and lived to read this series, and now I discover it is a duology. So actually, I may just jump off a high building. My question is: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE extend the Heromaker series there is so much left hanging in the balance and I’m not sure if I can actually go on in life if I don’t find out what happens!?!

I was going to answer a different question, but this one seemed urgent, haha. Don’t jump off a building! Even if you’re talking about BASE jumping with a parachute it is very dangerous and makes this elder millennial very uncomfortable.
To your question. The good news: I fully plan to write Three Dark Crowns 5 later this year and that will feature most of the main characters from the Heromaker books as antagonists. It will basically be The Aristene vs The Fennbirn Queens and will complete both series.
The bad news: I don’t think Sar will be in it. Since he’s not an immortal he’ll be long dead by the time the story takes place, and while there are things that I would love to write about him (I would love to see his reunion with Reed) I just don’t think that’s going to happen.
Bonus bad news? I don’t know if Three Dark Crowns 5 will actually be released. But I do intend to write it and see how it turns out.

I love your writing based on Greek myths--have you always been a fan of mythology?

I am about halfway through the Three Dark Crowns so maybe this will be answered later, however, curiosity has gotten the better of me, in part of the book, you reference that Arsinoe is named after a Queen who was killed by her sister. I was wondering if you were referencing the Arsinoe IV and Cleopatra VII?
