Shannon asked this question about A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (The Tales of Dunk and Egg, #1-3):
Is this book ok for preteens? Wanted to give it to my brother, who has read Hunger Games, Maze Runner, etc., but if it's anything close to ASOIAF, it'd probably be a bit inappropriate....

This seems more for young adult or even teen. Pre-teen might be cutting it close, but the level of reading is easy, imo. My parents didn't care what I read when I was a kid, but everyone is different, and I turned out quite decent ;)

It is not nearly as violent and graphic as ASOIAF. Old question I see, but hope it helps someone anyway. If I was a parent with restrictions for content, I would allow my kid to read this one. It's relatively tame.(less)
