How did you decide on the genre in which you write?

Debbie De Louise So sorry for the late reply, Arthur, but I've been very busy planning author talks and signings for this year as well as editing the sequel to my book. As far as genre, most people write the genre they enjoy reading. I'm a big romantic suspense fan. I also like mysteries. Right now, I've been considering that A STONE'S THROW may fall more into the cozy mystery genre than romantic suspense, but my publisher can help me decide. If you're asking because you need to know how to decide on a genre yourself, write what comes naturally to you. Don't try to write something just because you think it might sell.
