I don't know if it's true, but Unexpectedly, Milo is going to have its film adaptation. Is this true? And, do you have updates regarding this? I'm really interested in a movie version of the book.

Matthew Dicks I hope so, Leslie! The film adaptation is in the works! A script has been written. A director is onboard, and last I heard, they are casting the movie now. I'm not terribly involved in the process (as you can probably tell), but I receive updates along the way. It's a very uncertain part of the business, though. All four of my novels are optioned for film, but I'm still waiting to see one become a movie. Fingers crossed!

I've just started your Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend book and I'm an ABA therapist for a kiddo with autism. How would you say you researched to tell the story from the point of view of the imaginary friend (as he seems to understand Max so well)? Do you have Asperger's or someone you know that does?
