Can this be read as a standalone or do you have to read the previous books in order to understand this one?

Diana~ (Kiss Me Books) Probably best to read previous books since it seems the heroine of Legend is related to Brooke and Maverick has a score to settle with Remy. So maybe just Real and Mine?
