Why Noe? Not "Noah"? I'm listening to the audio version and just curious. Thanks!

David Maine The Douay-Rheims Bible, which is the version upon which this retelling is based, spelled the characters' names as they are in the novel. So I kept them as is.

"Noah" is from the King James translation, among others, which is much more familiar to Anglophone readers.

At first I was bothered by the nontraditional (to me) spellings, but I got used to them very quickly. Their oddness seemed in keeping with the spirit of the project; they were almost familiar, but also a little off base...
