Goodreads asked C.W. Schultz:

How do you get inspired to write?

C.W. Schultz Each of my books were written during different "eras" (per se) of my life.

My debut YEVAL came out when I was graduating college, which for a lot of people is a time when you officially leave the nest of your family and are all on your own. This milestone triggers the realization that nobody is untouchable or special, and you're just another face in the crowd.

With my second book THE PACK, I was surviving on my own and was dealing with the reality of working to put food on the table.

JILL, my third novel, was at a time in my life when I was making lots of big changes, some of which were financial risks. All these major decisions really taught me how much control you have over some things but not others, and the balancing of that was (and still is) the hardest test of all.

All-in-all, when life happens, you get inspired.
