Why is everyone loving this book? I don't get it? It doesn't seem like her best book to me. It's filled with stories about her and how she responds to life. Does this seem to fit for all of you?

I keep hearing about how great this is, but I'm sort of bored (I'm 1/3 through). I think she's speaking to women who may feel a lot of pressure to be perfect (or to appear to others to be perfect). I long ago accepted my imperfections and gave up looking perfect. I also can't relate to "my research" this and "my research" that. I'm a freelancer in a creative field, so I can't relate to all the talk about the academic environment and the desire for external "success." All this dissecting of an misunderstanding between her and her husband in the lake is driving me a little crazy. I've had plenty of adversity and have hit the floor numerous times, but I'm not finding this helpful.(less)
