Why is everyone loving this book? I don't get it? It doesn't seem like her best book to me. It's filled with stories about her and how she responds to life. Does this seem to fit for all of you?

Women grow up believing they must be chameleons, that we must be all things to all people. We need to keep everyone happy, soothe every frayed nerve, correct every wrong. In other words, women are brought up to be control freaks. This makes them nervous wrecks. Brene Brown is a great example of this, and her answer to making women feel better about themselves is to just be more controlling. Apparently, women go for this. Like the book, "Eat, Pray, Love." Just be more self centered, just the opposite of taking care of everyone's problems. Women like that idea. They don't know how to be original people, standing up for themselves. Just being assertive, team players. They just like that familiar cloak of co-dependency, that they constructed for themselves. That's my opinion, and most women will hate me for it. Good. (less)
