Bigbooknut asked Kristen Ashley:

You pepper your books with talk of all manner of delicious sounding food. I know that your have a few recipes posted on your site, but there are others mentioned that I don't see there (like the pasta-dijon mustard-mayo-pickle salad in Sweet Dreams). Have you given any thought to releasing a cookbook featuring all the recipes for the foods you've mentioned in your books? Cause I would buy that puppy in a heartbeat! :D

Kristen Ashley Interestingly enough, the pasta-dijon mustard-mayo-pickle salad was my own creation, one of the few I mention that actually is! And it doesn't have a recipe since I wing it every time (the key, pouring in a splash of dill pickle juice - spiral pasta, mustard, mayo, chopped red onion, chopped pickles of the dill and cornichon varieties with a pinch of salt and pepper).

As for a cookbook, since many of the recipes I mention are copyrighted to others (like Nina's fish pie in THE GAMBLE, that's a variation of Jamie Oliver's fish pie), I can't go there. Others are family recipes or things friends have given me with unknown origins that might not be public domain.

So I must suffice it with listing them on my website. Though, I have to admit, I have a number more I need to put on. And I should probably make that pasta salad and take note of measurements and ingredients...because it's the bomb!
