Her son is a r…moreSPOILER I just saw the movie with Robert Redford and Jane Fonda on Netflix and loved it. I'm trying to decide whether to read the book. Her son is a rotten person and a negligent father. When Dena mentioned elder abuse in the book, what happened? The movie didn't contain any physical abuse or financial exploitation, although the son's treatment of his mother and her beautiful relationship with Louis was cruel and selfish.
The movie ended with them talking on the phone from their separate beds in separate towns. Am I the only one who feels hopeful about their relationship?(less)
