Hello there! I was looking for books for my sister to read, but I want the books to be appropriate. I personally haven't read any of your books, though I plan to in the future. Would you recommend your books for a young teenage girl? How "clean" would you say your books are?

Melanie Dickerson Hi, Emily! I would say my books are very clean. If your sister is a teen, I assume she is at least 13, so she is safe reading them. There is a bit of kissing in each book, but if your sister has watched a romantic Disney movie like Ella Enchanted or even the princess movies, then she should be fine reading my books. I don't recommend them for anyone younger than 11 or anyone who is too young to be interested in the concept of romantic love.

Hi Melanie, I am very much enjoying your YA fairytale Hagenheim series, my favourite of which is The Princess Spy. I wanted to ask if you've heard of the old Irish folk tale about the spoiled princess? I would love to see how you would put your own spin on it. It's called The Haughty Princess by Patrick Kennedy. The basic story is very lovely, one of my favourite folktales and a real lesson in character. :)
