My inspiration comes at the most random times! Sometimes I'll be driving and think "Oh hey, that's a good idea for a book," or just recently I was at the Cher concert and was inspired to write a story based on the interaction I had with the people sitting in front of me. I keep a notebook full of story ideas that I suss out as much as possible as soon as the idea strikes me, and then as the story percolates in my head, I add to the story in my notebook until I'm ready to put paper-to-pen... or erm, fingers to keyboard :)
