Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

M. Mabie My most recent work is Bait, Book One in The Wake Series.

I've thought about these characters for months. Even when I was writing Fade In, I had to stop and write notes about this book (now series). There were so many things that I wanted to do with Blake and Casey that I couldn't fit it all in one book.

This novel progressively gets darker and more challenging to write as their story unfolds, but I love them so much- it doesn't matter. I just power through.

It's much different from my first book, but I think my readers will fall in love with Casey (Male lead) and they'll hate that they love Blake (Female lead), too.

The wait isn't long now... Bait will be out in August.
