Not a question but a comment -- I have read every book by Chris Bohjalian and I just can't believe how many different types of novels that he's written. There is something for everyone, from chills to thrills -- and so many that provoke incredible discussion. My book club (teens at a high school) most recently read CLOSE YOUR EYES, HOLD HANDS and we were blown away...I hope you are already on next book?

Thank you, Denise. I am always honored when a book club reads one of my novels, but I am especially honored when it is a teen book club. Please extend to them my deepest thanks.
And thanks for your kind words about my subject matter. The truth is, I never want to write the same book twice.
Yes, I have a new novel arriving on January 5, 2016. It is called "The Guest Room." It's a literary thriller about a marriage crisis, two remarkable women, and that one moment you wish more than anything you could take back.
You can read all about it here:

Thank you again for your faith in my work. Fingers crossed I never disappoint you.
All the best,
Chris B.

As the unofficial "Mayor" of Booktopia, I have an invitation. I do not know when you will be getting to Manchester but, a big group of us (about 20) eat dinner on Thursday (April 25) at Thai Basil which is about a block from the bookstore. You would be welcome to join us. I usually make a reservation a few days before we arrive. I'll post on the FB page for reservations. Would you like to join us? Linda

Thank you for The Sandcastle Girls. It's so beautifully written. I'm amazed that this horror happened and that many Turks don't even know that the genocide ever happened. Over a million people died by such horrible. barbarism and hardly anyone knows it. I'm so glad that you have brought this to light. Do you find many people who know the history of what happened in Aleppo in 1915?
