Hi Julie! First of all I must tell that I am a great fan of your books. I have read some of your books and each of them is a gem. I love Regency novels and the way you craft your characters and build the scenarios with lovely description is simply awesome. How do you do the research to write these books with such precision?

Julie Klassen Hi Shilpi! So glad to hear you enjoy my books. I do several things when researching. I read books on the area and the time period, I watch movies (like BBC period dramas), and I look at old maps, old newspapers or journals, web pages, ancestry pages, and other resources online. I also attend meetings with the Jane Austen Society of North America to take classes on various historical topics. I hope this gives you a general idea of my research. Thanks for asking!
