I'm about to self-publish my first book. It's at upwavers.com. Not sure how to go about getting attention. Any suggestions?

Hi Sonny,
My advice is always publish material as if each reader can only afford 1 book per year and your book is the one they'll buy. In other words, give maximum value for money and deliver pure quality and in time you will establish an army of readers who read all your books. Never rush to publish, but make sure the book is perfect and that patience will pay off.
Besides the writing, look for ways to promote your book in the media. Newspapers, magazines, radio are all still great places for authors to get exposure via interviews.
It's a tricky era overall for authors as there is just so much published content available now. To stand out from the crowd it often takes more than one book and sometimes an ongoing series as modern readers seem to love book series.
If you have a very unique book that you really believe in, then shout it from the rooftops.
Good luck!
James

Hi James. I saw your post about Holocaust deniers. I wrote The Last Witness - about the last living survivor of the Holocaust in 2039 - and produced the video with university students who know little about the Holocaust and WWII. Don't you think a bigger problem than Holocaust denial is Holocaust ignorance on the part of the masses? Check out the video ... http://youtu.be/CRC_T07dwZo
