I have 2 daughters - 10 and 13, and I wouldn't consider having them read it until upper high school - somewha…moreNo - it's definitely written for adults. I have 2 daughters - 10 and 13, and I wouldn't consider having them read it until upper high school - somewhat because of content - as previous answerer mentioned, prostitution is touched upon, but it is a relevant piece in understanding the story. And as it's written as an adult book, it may not pull a child in and sustain their attention as it does for adults.
