Chelsea asked Maria V. Snyder:

Hi Maria For school I've got to write a story about being lost. So far I've wrote about a girl in the wood/forest and she's out hunting 132 days after the day she ran away and I was wondering what I could do next because I have no idea what the plot is about?

Maria V. Snyder Hi Chelsea! To me, Plot can be described as this: the main protagonist wants X more than anything else in the world and on the way to earning/winning/achieving X there are obstacles that get in her/his way. How he/she overcomes these obstacles is your plot.

So figure out what your girl wants more than anything else and then throw lots of obstacles in her way to that goal - she's in the woods, so there can be bears, and lack of food, and poison ivy and other hunters, all those are obstacles to her goal.

I hope this helps! Good luck with your story.
