If you are too sensitive to read something graphic, you can always read reviews before starting any book. That's what reviews are for, to give you an idea of what the story is about and other people's reactions to it. If the reviews indicate the book will not be to your taste, don't buy it, don't check it out from a library, don't borrow it from a friend.

Most people have access to a computer these days. You can search for almost any book here on Goodreads. That will tell you all you need to know. Goodreads even has rating, though not for specific issues, but reading a few will give you plenty of warning. :)(less)
