asked:
Okay, Beetee's plan really confused me. What was he really trying to do? What all went wrong with his plan? What all went according to plan? And, why would he go through all that trouble just to take out two or three tributes? It would really make my day if someone took the time to answer my questions. Thanks!

Beetee and the other tributes Katniss and Peeta allied with had agreed to keep them both alive specially Katniss since she meant so much to the plan. It was important that they killed the other tributes left so that she could once again win the games. The wire was cut, so Beetee's plan could not function properly. Then, Katniss came in, saw that the other tributes had been attacked, panicked and destroyed the arena when she shot the arrow with the wire attached to it. Then that's when Haymitch and Plutarch came in and grabbed Katniss to take her to district 13.
