Good question.
For me, it's about learning something new every day, discovering new facts or ideas. I'm never bored by bering a writer; I probably enjoy it too much, judging from how I'm always happy to talk about what I'm working on.
Much of what I do is about sponging up the lives, experiences and stories of other people and finding the best way to package all of that for a large audience. If you like people, even the seemingly dullest person has a good tale to tell and I want to hear it.
