Goodreads asked L.T. Getty:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

L.T. Getty If I don't know what to do I tend to skip it. I don't always write linear - I'll write a scene, or I'll go back and add what I need so that I know what's going on. The first time I write it to tell myself the story.

If the story is at a standstill, I tend to leave it for a while. I usually figure stuff out while I'm doing something active - such as walking my dog, riding my bike, or going kayaking. I'm a very active person, and I find that while I need to create with butt in chair, it's best for me to get the energy flowing by working up a little sweat.
