Hi Darren, Big fan of your books and always found it super cool that like me, you're London-born in Ireland :) Fine company! Anyways.... for obvious reasons excluding Darren from the Cirque Du Freak, which of your characters is most similar to you personally? Was there ever a character you wrote for that said things you'd say yourself or just similar personality wise?

Hi Conor,
actually Darren is no more or less similar to me than any of my other main characters. I always invest a certain amount of myself in my more central creations, the bad guys as well as the good, but I never project myself directly into a character -- I always let them have their differences from me too. The one I'm probably most similar to in many ways is Kernel Fleck, from The Demonata.
