Hey I have kind of a silly question... I was just curious as to why The Golden Braid is coming out in hardcover, but The Beautiful Pretender is coming out in trade paperback? I have all your other books in paperback so I like to keep them the same :) LOVE your books! It's so nice to find beautifully written, entertaining and engaging stories that you can feel good about reading :)

Hi, Mallorie! Thank you so much for your kind words! :-)
To answer your question, it was my publisher's decision and has to do with the fact that The Golden Braid is a YA book, and The Beautiful Pretender is technically an adult book, and I am with a different publisher now whose policy it is to release all their YAs in hardcover first. This has to do with the fact that in the general market, YAs are usually released this way, with the hardcover coming out first, and if they sell well, then they release it in paperback. I am happy they are releasing it in hardcover--I'm told it's really beautiful! (I haven't actually gotten one yet!) But I do wish it could be out in paperback too for my loyal readers who want to have them all in one set in the same format. And I don't think it's a silly question! You are not the first to ask. :-)
Thanks again, Mallorie! God bless you!

I love you books and all of my friends love them and I have been inspired to write my own book, do you have any tips and tricks that you could share. I also have some questions. What inspires you to write each book and how do you come up with the plot but still keep the fairy tale?

Hi Melanie! I love your work. I was just wondering what advice you had for a young author? I am 17 and have self-published two books, both of which are Christian. I would love to hear some feedback on how to make writing a career! Thank you, and I look forward to continuing to read your books! I love every one that I've read (I've read most of them...;) )

Hi Melanie! I just wanted to tell you how much I LOVE your books. I read the whole Hagenheim series in a week. I was also curious if you planned on writing a story for Kirstyn, and if you ever thought about writing any stories on Valten, Gabe, Margaretha, or Rapunzel's children? :)
