Darren Shan I prefer not to talk about my religious beliefs too much. What I will say is that I don't fill my books with my beliefs -- I let my characters follow whatever route or religion that seems appropriate for them. I don't push any religious messages in my books -- except that religious extremism in any form is very dangerous.

I teach in a rural school in Australia where it is hard to get children to read......but they requested the library bought your books for them and they read them. Keep getting kids reading it's a wonderful gift. How do you come up with ideas which will grab teens attention?
