So since this massive tome you've produced has now been split in two, can I ask which book we were reading in the extract at the end of The (new) New Hunger? AND what does this mean for your book promotional jaunt? Are you going to be locked away editing for another year, or do we get to pester you for autographs and buy you beer? AND (most importantly), where does that leave your other projects, shorts and music?

The excerpt is from the upcoming book, The Burning World. It's a big relief to have a whole year to edit The Living, since that one requires a delicate touch for all its climactic cosmic insanity, but I definitely won't be locked away for that whole year. By the time promo season for The Burning World rolls around, I expect to be fully finished with this series and very much ready to party. Whiskey, please!

I know you self-published three other novels before Atria Books picked up Warm Bodies, and I was wondering if it was ever discouraging or if there was ever a point where you wondered if you would ever get a novel published "mainstream," so to speak. And, maybe, if you had any advice for how to work through that? I try to remember that I write for me, but some days it's harder to remember than others.
