It's an adult book, with adult themes, but all I saw was a boy and his bea…moreI read it when I was 11 and FELL IN LOVE with horses and especially Flicka. It's an adult book, with adult themes, but all I saw was a boy and his beautiful horse. I read it every 10 years or so, and I see more of the depth ... relationships, struggle, anxiety, sacrifice, love, etc. As a 55 year old, I can still feel what I felt when I was 11 ... great book!(less)
