How many times have you ever been truly scared while reading a book or watching a movie? And which one was the most scary?

Kendare Blake Too many times to count! I can't say which is scarier. With books I am more often disturbed rather than scared. Movies rarely scare me while I'm watching, but they can give me nightmares later. Most recently, the film IT FOLLOWS did a good job of that!
