What made you want to write the Sweet Trilogy in Kai's perspective?

Wendy Higgins For years readers asked me to write from his POV, but I refused. I wasn't feeling it. And then after I finished the trilogy I missed him so much and had this fierce desire to tell his side of the story, so I wrote my agent about it, and voila! The rest is history. Thankfully the publisher agreed to it, because it was the most fun I've ever had writing.
