I read the Miriam Black novels and your writing books at the same time; they really got me thinking about how many villains try to plot out other people's lives, and how many protagonists pants their way back to safety. Do you see your characters as being novelists in real time?
I have not thought about it that way. That's kinda fascinating.
Characters are, in many ways, storytellers, though. Both participants in narrative and givers of narrative, too.
