I saw a trailer recently for a movie due out early next year called "The Forest" that is set in the Suicide Forest - by any chance is this based on your novel?

Sorry for the delay getting back to you! I didn't even see these questions. Anyway, I never even heard of The Forest! I'm going to check it out now. I know there is a movie also coming out called Sea of Trees, set in the forest. Seems like it's becoming a pretty popular place lately!

how long does it take to research a new location? i imagine you actually have to live in a new place to get a good feel for the style and attitude of a site.

okay I did come back to check and see if shelfari sent over the rest of my books. I have 2066 books on my shelf there and the first time they "sent" them over, they only sent 99! not quite all of them? They got rid of shelfari because amazon no longer supports it. So it's still there but you can't do a whole lot with it most days. I was able to add a couple more books today but it's really all goobered up!
