Julie asked Joseph W. Naus:

I very much enjoyed 'The Straight Pepper Diet' but I was wondering have your experiences meant you can no longer practice Law?

Joseph W. Naus Hi Julie. Thank you for reading SPD. I greatly appreciate it. If you haven't done so, please rate it on Amazon, even if you didn't buy it through Amazon.

A: Disbarment is not permanent in California. My current understanding is that one can reapply ten years after the date of disbarment or the end of one's probation/parole/incarceration, whichever is later. I am, I believe, eligible to reapply as of now.

I loved the practice of law and wonder what it would be like practicing as a recovered person with all the spiritual tools I've developed over the last dozen years since my "forced" spiritual awakening.
If financially feasible, I'd like to do some pro bono work.
One day at a time.

Peace and Blessings to you and yours,

Joseph W. Naus
