How were you able to come up with the ideas for this book? Were there any inspirations that you had for writing it?

Hi, Anna! I'm afraid I'm not quite sure which book you are referencing. If you will let me know which book in the comments, I will answer more specifically. But in general, my inspiration is usually one or more fairy tales. I also get inspiration from real life--mine or someone else's--as well as books and movies I like. Oftentimes I don't even know where my ideas come from. A book plot and characters just sort of evolve in my head as I consider various possibilities. The whole "what if?" question.

Hello! Let me start off by saying that I LOVE your books! I've been learning about the history of architecture, and I was just wondering what style architecture you use in your books (mainly in your Hagenheim series). Would the buildings be Romanesque style, Gothic style, or something else? Also, in what time period do your Hagenheim books take place? Thank you for writing! Your books are so encouraging!
